For the first time in the series, a step into the shoes of a female assassin in this side story taking place around the time of Assassin's Creed III.
It looks like Connor won't be the only one aiding the Revolutionary War effort (and secretly battling the Templars), according to the latest issue of Game Informer, as new character Aveline will be the latest character knocking around in the Animus.
While we don't yet know who will be controlling Aveline from the future, the new heroine will be doing her assassinating down in the bayou of New Orleans, and is of mixed French and African ancestry. Aveline's story will take place between 1765-1780, and while her path will cross with Connor's, it's all Aveline's show on the Vita in this title being developed by the Ubisoft Sofia studio who in the past have been responsible for Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for the 3DS and Raving Rabbids for the PC).
The game promises multiplayer while exploiting the Vita hardware such as touch functionality using the front screen and rear pad for pickpocketing.
Expect Assassin's Creed: Liberation to make its debut sometime around the October 30th release of Assassin's Creed III.
